Why do I still blog?

Monday, August 23rd, 2010

OK – I’m not going to lie. I dislike blogging. I think I have better things to do with my time.  As you can tell my blogging is very off and on. I don’t really see the point in all this blogging and social media – it’s just all hype.  Anyhow, I will continue since we all love to have our egos stroked.

I updated my site to have more real content on it. I wanted to be more real. Too often we have these sites for what? Does anyone really come visit them? My goal is to inspire people with my story not sell them things (although I love to sell) it’s not my main objective.

I write books, speak and do all sorts of things as a hobby only because the speaking business is a hard one to make any money in (unless you offer a service) which I do not have and to be frank I do not want to offer the general public.

I work in finance, that’s why I do and I think I’m going to stick to that. Lastly thank for stopping by the page, hope you love it and check our my art section and let me know what you think of my art.

Fame and Fortune, oh my!

Sunday, June 20th, 2010

I assume you are here because you have heard of me, been told by someone to check me out, ask or question or have stumbled upon me.

Being well known is not the greatest thing on earth. As kids, we all want to be famous; we all want the recognition of our peers. Unfortunately when things go wrong with a business or a decision you have made it can be very harmful to your ego (no one in this world wants to make a mistake).

Well known people, including me, literately get hound on an hourly basis for money for a charity, investment from fair-weather friends.  If they don’t get what they want from you they will blame you or find an excuse to blame you and  come after something you have because they feel that you are rich and can afford to help them out and give them a few thousand dollars which most likely will make themselves more comfortable. It’s really sad how far people will go to make you do what they want – it really does not want to make you help them anymore.

In 2009 I had to put my foot down and say NO MORE because and at the end of the day no one cares about me. We all go home to our family, our big mortgage payments and our lifestyle. The fact is when I was down and out I generally sat at home because the phone stopped ringing and now that my life is slowly coming back………….guess what, ring, ring, ring!

The sad part about life is I do believe that we all want to help people; it makes our ego feel good, doesn’t it?  However at the end of the day by helping people you expose yourself to extreme risk on the area of “takers” and this only does not feel good but it takes so much energy.

We must define ourselves and find out who we are. This year I have finally defined myself so now no one can define me and who I am, that’s something no one can take that away from me.

What is Forgiveness?

Tuesday, June 15th, 2010

Forgiveness is letting go of the need for revenge and releasing negative thoughts of bitterness and resentment. If you are a parent, you can provide a wonderful model for your children by forgiving. If they observe your reconciliation with friends or family members who have wronged you, perhaps they will learn not to harbor resentment over the ways in which you may have disappointed them. If you are not a parent, forgiveness is still an extremely valuable skill to have.

In the movie “Avalon,” the uncle stopped talking to his family members for the rest of his life because they started Thanksgiving dinner without him after he was excessively late for the zillionth time. What a waste of energy it is to stay angry for decades.

Forgiveness can be a gift that we give to ourselves. Here are some easy steps towards forgiveness:

  • Acknowledge your own inner pain.
  • Express those emotions in non-hurtful ways without yelling or attacking.
  • Protect yourself from further victimization.
  • Try to understand the point of view and motivations of the person to be forgiven; replace anger with compassion.
  • Forgive yourself for your role in the relationship.
  • Decide whether to remain in the relationship.
  • Perform the overt act of forgiveness verbally or in writing. If the person is dead or unreachable, you can still write down your feelings in letter form

What Forgiveness Is Not…

  • Forgiveness is not forgetting or pretending it didn’t happen. It did happen, and we need to retain the lesson learned without holding onto the pain.
  • Forgiveness is not excusing. We excuse a person who is not to blame. We forgive because a wrong was committed.
  • Forgiveness is not giving permission to continue hurtful behaviors; nor is it condoning the behavior in the past or in the future.
  • Forgiveness is not reconciliation. We have to make a separate decision about whether to reconcile with the person we are forgiving or whether to maintain our distance.

Forgiving and letting go can be very difficult challenges, but it’s even more stressful to hold on to grudges. There are several symbolic letting-go rituals that can help with the process. If you are having trouble forgiving someone else, write them a letter expressing all of your feelings and explaining why you need to let go. You don’t need to mail that letter — it is cathartic just to write it all down. You can also write down all of your excess “baggage” on a piece of paper and burn it or cast it into the sea in a bottle when you are ready to really let go.

Be Real. Be Honest. Be Successful.

Monday, May 24th, 2010

Thank you for coming back to my blogging reading it again after your long stint away on a personal sabbatical. I cannot continue to tell you how happy I am.  For very long time after the failure of my biggest enterprise I ever imagined and created failed in the sub-prime meltdown (flas crash) of 2008 &  2009.

I felt very guilty for what happened and transpired, especially those who invested and lost money.  This year I  had to finally wake up and realize that it wasn’t my fault.  I was accountable yes, but that does not mean I was responsible for what happened. I have been taking into full responsibility of what happened and now I have to move on with my life and understand thigns happen.

A good friend of mine today it’s not how hard you fall, it’s how fast you get up.  This quote really meant a lot to me, because I realized at the end of the day, I have to change myself,  I have to be honest with myself and realize I do have faults I am a human being and I will make mistakes.

After being on my sabbatical since February 27, 2010,  I know where I want to be in life even what I want to do. I decided to do one thing, and that’s being honest with me.

I look forward to posting more blogs for you to read them please send your feedback.

James Timothy White Conference Call

James working on his new book and talking with some of the biggest authors on a conference call.

Okay, I do admit it’s been a long time as a posted a blog entry on the website. It’s not because I’m being lazy or because I do not want too. It’s because I’m enjoying the wonderful city I’m staying in right now while doing my sabbatical.

The reason for my sabbatical was because I wanted to find out who I was and if I really want to continue down this path,  this since it’s a big step to take in life. The last blog post was on February 26 my sabbatical began on February 27th, 2010, and I’m enjoying every minute of it!

I’m doing this blog post to update all my fans, my family, and my friends and anybody that reads this blog a regular basis as to what I’m doing and how I’m doing.

Today I woke up in the beautiful city of Corpus Christi, Texas. I woke to the beautiful sun shining in the windows of my friend’s beachfront apartment. I went out on the balcony and had a cup coffee brainstorming new and creative ways to make my life better as well as all my other friends who have helped and supported me throughout the years.

I thought it would be good to hit the beach so I went into the closet and pulled out a really nice comfortable towel and went down the beach with a can of Coke zero and water. I started reading the new book a good friend gave me from Calgary called the “Corruption of Capitalism”.

The book went into detail about how we entered this new financial crisis and what we need to do to solve it and how the US government has spent on Billions to save the American population and if the American government doesn’t act fast it may turn into  a situation bigger than the Great Depression of the 1930s.

I’m not quite finished the book but I’m sure I will enjoy the rest of the book.  Greetings from Corpus Christi Texas and I hope to see you all again in the next few months.

First Blog Post In A While!

Friday, February 26th, 2010

Well, this is my first post since the web site was down for a few days and we lost all of our previous blogs. I am excited to be moving on with my life in many positive ways. I started the new year off making some tough decisions about my personal life as well as the people in my life. Sometimes you feel really good about what you are doing and other times it’s stressful.

I am sure  many people think there is mega money to be made  in the book, speaking and education world– there is not.  This business is done by people who really want to make a difference, like me!  However,  more often than not,  people stop helping because of all the BS they have to go through to do so.

I have been extremely jaded lately with life in general.  It has started to hurt when I give,  so now I must stop giving so much. If it hurts to give then you have gone too far.

As far as my tour dates, we have canceled the tour and have no new dates planned in the near future, nor do we have any dates planned  for raising money for the foundation. In fact we have determined to  dissolve the foundation and focus our efforts on just doing good things for people on our own to give them a better life.  This way, we have less red tape and political issues.

I will try and post everyday but can’t make any promises. Please do good things for people and forgive those who are ignorant to difference.
