I created the James Timothy White Better Life Foundation because I want to provide hope and inspiration to individuals and support people towards a better life through education, awareness in business, and personal life development.
The objectives of the society are:
- To educate persons of low or modest income by providing courses, seminars and workshops in starting, managing and maintaining their own small business;
- To establish, maintain and operate an educational training centre that will offer seminars and workshops on starting a small business, as well as provide access to books, websites and other educational resources on starting a small business;
- To provide support services, including access to mentors, to persons of low or modest income who are considering setting up their own small business;
- To provide financial assistance to persons of low or modest income enabling them to set up their own small business;
- To advance education by providing scholarships or bursaries to persons of low or modest income registered in a business program at a the University of Calgary, Mount Royal University, Southern Alberta Institute of Technology or equivalent. To make expenditures by way of donation, loan, grant or gift to qualified donors as that term is defined under the Income Tax Act (Canada), this may be amended from time to time.
